Italy were always fighting an uphill battle in the final of Euro 2012 against Spain, but the Red was allowed to coast to their third consecutive title with a victory by 4-0 over the blues.

Third and final replacement of Thiago Motta, Italy adopted a very bad leg injury in the 60 ° minute of the match, sent to Italy with 10 men when they lost by two goals, ending the game.

Not the way anyone wanted to see Spain win their third consecutive championship record more, but were much better for the next 60 minutes of the opening game and we deserved the victory.

Spain had a brilliant start, and his step was rewarded with a pretty goal at 14 '. Had a little 'just keep the ball in midfield so far, but he opened the defense with a brilliant blue, Andres Iniesta pass in depth. Cesc Fabregas ran into him and sent the ball back for David Silva, who went to the back of the net.

Italian accelerate the pace when I was a goal and looked good for most of the first half but the defense was dismantled just before the break. Xavi provided the assistance of Jordi Alba brilliant goal 41 minutes with Andrea Barzagli help the goal with some poor defending.

He could not make a decision in an attempt to take the game out of Dawn or a backup, but still, like Alba blew by him in the pass from Xavi and then finished the play to give his side a 2-0 advantage with a view to first.

Italy were forced to make a change to an injury in the first half with Federico Balzaretti to replace Giorgio Chiellino Silva after scoring. Cesare Prandelli, made another substitution in the entretemps, which Antonio Di Natale for a very tired Antonio Cassano.

The measure was immediately pay off in 46 minutes when Di Natale headed a cross over the crossbar. Five minutes later, forced Iker Casillas to save excellent.

Between these two shots, Leonardo BONUCCI got away with one hand on the box was kept in Italy with the hope of returning to life, at least briefly. The ball bounced in his hand raised after a free throw, and the fate of Blues a penalty has not been granted.

It did not take long at all for his luck to run out completely. At 56 ', Prandelli has made its fourth and last place of Motta led by Riccardo Montolivo. Four minutes later Motta fell in a heap in a headlong rush to the ball, which seems to break the tendon of the curve.

He was obviously able to continue, forcing Italy, while 2-0, to finish the last 30 minutes of the match with 10 men. This is essentially the end of the game and took all of any possibility of returning to Italy.

Spain has done much to pass the ball in a circle, showing a little "of mercy and understanding of the position of opponents, but managed to achieve such a milestone for its previous vilipendiats superstars.

Fernando Torres entered as a substitute and scored a goal in 84 minutes, ending with the tranquility of a brilliant pass from Xavi. Juan Mata has also left the bank and was ready for a goal by Torres, his club mate of team, which was equipped with a tap, a big step.

The final was an anti-climax and Italy, were deprived of the opportunity to fight his return from injury in the game fun, but not taking anything out of Spain. Were well above the race, and it would be surprising that the blues were able to make his way back into the game.

Vicente del Bosque's team were great on Sunday night and has cemented its place as one of the sides most international of all time.
