LAS VEGAS - For the defeated rival Michael Sonnen UFC 148 event on Saturday night, UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva (32-4 MMA, 15-0 UFC) moved a step closer to the company cleaning of the 185 pounds division.

In the past, which means a victory for Silva fight after question about a possible attack weight welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, but these days, MMA fans and experts both just want to know if "The Spider "increasingly face the holder Jon Jones 205 pounds.

Both Silva and Jones have expressed any interest in the superpelea, but the UFC president, Dana White does not seem so sure.

"He said that Michael was not going to fight back, either," White said with a laugh after Saturday night after the press conference.

Silva, of course, first defeated Sonnen at UFC 117 in August 2010. Sonnen then spent the next two years blaming Silva, his family and his countrymen, until finally gain revenge on the roof of the UFC 148 event Saturday, held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and transmitted by pay-per-view.

Of course, Silva accepted the combat, after extensive stimulation of the head of the UFC, Silva has admitted that he did not want to give Sonnen, who shot to fame with a vengeance.

White admitted that he was forced to take similar measures in the past, including previous incursions Silva Forrest Griffin and semipesado weight on James Irvin wins.

"The two times I went to 205, because he was not wanted," said White. "It is because I asked him."

White and Silva are not always on good terms. The champion of the infamous UFC 112 victory over Demian Maia has left the UFC after so frustrated that he threatened to cut off their champion, even after a victory.

However, the chief insisted Saturday that UFC has the greatest respect for Silva, and has made the determination of its confrontations in the future.

"Anderson is a single man to deal with," White said. "It's a different process from what I am dealing with this. I respect him a lot. I swear to God, is as an artist." S like to deal with an artist or a great actor, crazy-talented.

"But I love being involved in every aspect of business with this type. I like to see him fight. I love the anticipation and buildup. For this type do what is really a my [censored] of my favorite parts of the work. like. This guy is my favorite fighter.

He really is. And that is the strongest side, I love it. love with him. "

But with Silva in the octagon track record of incredible - 15 consecutive wins and a record 10 successful defenses of the middleweight belt - many fans are concerned there is simply no real challenges remaining in the sample at 185 pounds.

White is quick to point out names like Michael Bispingen, Hector Lombard and Mark Munoz as possible future opponents for Silva and think there is something to say about a fighter who always eats his help.
