Prince Fielder wins Home Run Derby for 2nd time

Written By Unknown on Tuesday, 10 July 2012 | 00:15

Prince Fielder has done a lot of noise in the Home Run Derby All-Star. Eight of them.

The Ken Griffey Jr. toletero Detroit joined as the only players to win multiple titles, thrilling the crowd at Kauffman Stadium with several shots at the fountain in the garden right and Jose Bautista to beat Toronto 12-7 in the final Monday at night.

"Just to be mentioned next to it is very special," said Fielder, who has spent time in the house when Griffey was a child. "My father left me to go play video games all day. He always took care of me when I was a kid."

On a night when the Yankees Robinson Cano was booed several times and was homerless, Fielder went into the display of baseball's most powerful big boppers.

Winner at Busch Stadium in St. Louis three years ago, Fielder had a total of 28 home runs in three shifts to crown the main event on the eve of the game stars. He hit the longest drive 16:00, including a pair of 476 feet.

"They were very," he said. "It is not easy to hit there."

While the ball was out of McCovey Cove in the 2007 Derby in San Francisco AT & T Park and the outdoor garden right last year to Chase Field in Phoenix, there was plenty of water activities in Kansas City , second only to Rome, for most sources in cities worldwide.

After three rounds of sprays among his five homers in the first round, Fielder started the second round as the sun illuminates the clouds, a beautiful rose garden behind the wall of the left.

His killing of curls visible on strike without helmet, Fielder presented four more balls in the water 322 feet wide spectacular, which has since been illuminated at dusk.

He added another drive in the final stage of water, then put one of his sons, while watching oscillation Baptist.

"I'm a bit" disappointed, "said Bautista." I am able to do more. I had a lot of fun doing. "

When he won three years ago in San Luis, 23 Fielder homers, including a 503-foot drive that disappeared between two sections of bleachers in right and center.

Griffey has won titles in 1994 at Three Rivers Stadium, Pittsburgh, 1998 Coors Field in Denver and in 1999 in Fenway Park in Boston.

Cano set a record of 12 en route to final title last year in Phoenix, where he broke 32 in total. This year has been the subject of heavy boos from fans upset that not all Royals Billy Butler was selected after promising a player on his team for their classic city.

The fans chanted "Bil her butler!" between their whistles. When everything was finished, Cano and David Ortiz of the Boston hugs fellow Curtis Granderson Yankees and CC Sabathia.

"I've been criticized before arriving here. If you play for the Yankees come booed wherever he goes," said Cano.

It was the 17 th time a player went homerless in the Derby, the first after Brandon Inge of Detroit in 2009.

"What was most interesting reaction to a home rum derby I've seen, but fans were excited that is what matters," Granderson Twitter.

Carlos Gonzalez and Andrew McCutchen (four each) and Matt Kemp (a) withdrew after the first round.

The Puerto Rican Carlos Beltran (12) was abandoned after the second round, when Mark Trumbo and Bautista were tied with 13 each, leading to a Baptist swingoff won 2-1.

Trumbo and Bautista each managed to record a small source beyond the left field wall. Trumbo also crashed a few shots to the Royals Hall of Fame left toward Interstate 70.
